The Fifa 10 league game was developed after learning from consumer feedback. Hence, it is a further improvement on the already highly successful FIFA 09 game. The FIFA 10 game was introduced in the latter part of 2009 and has continued the award winning tradition. Weeks after release, it also became a best seller following in the footsteps of its predecessor.
FIFA 10 is the 17th title in a series of video games released by Electronic Arts and sold under the EA Sports label. There are 31 leagues and over 500 teams in the game, as well as 41 national teams in the 10 series. The Russian Premier League is a new addition. But, it was not featured in the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions. In the 10 series, the Netherlands is included as a national team. Due to FIFA League changes, there are 46 teams that were not included in the 09 series, including 25 that have not appeared in an earlier FIFA video game. The team and player enlargement has complemented player capacity changes. These gameplay refinements allow for greater responsiveness and skill display. The improvements made to gameplay fundamentals have made this game closer to the reality, with greater sophistication in ball control and physical interaction.
The FIFA series of video games feature association football and was first released in 1993. A new title is rolled out in the Fall of each year. Each new addition has improved features and modifications in some respect from prior releases. They are the first officially licensed by FIFA, association footballs governing body. The use of real clubs, leagues and player likenesses brings more realism to these games. These video games are available in 51 countries and 18 languages. They are a global product for a global game. Each new recent series installment has been a record setter. The newly released FIFA 11 is the fastest selling sports game ever sold within a week of release. These FIFA video game series come in different modes and are complemented by additional installments for tournaments and regional league titles.
Ultimate Team and the Manager Mode
The Ultimate Team mode of 10 is an improvement on what was first introduced in 09. This is available only for use with PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Like the 09 version, a custom team can be built based on the collection of various types of cards. However, the number of players and leagues available has substantially increased. In the newer version, 29 leagues and over 7,500 players are in play. This improves the team building options. Gamers who could not build the teams they wanted due to the unavailability of players, now have more flexibility.
There is also greater flexibility in developing playing chemistry between the footballers. There are different links in every formation between the players. While earlier there was only one team to build, now there are fifteen you can create. Tournaments are a bigger focus this year. The Manager Mode has been made less easier to increase the challenge. The financial system is more realistic. Player costs vary based on the club they play for. The feature that requires managers to satisfy the club board of directors adds risk. Managers will be on a shorter leash in some clubs. It is not as easier to scout as before. Customers should be aware that Manager Mode has been replaced in the FIFA 11 title. Career Mode is the replacement for the Manager Mode. This allows users to follow a footballer through different stages of his career.
The Virtual Pro option
The new Virtual Pro feature of FIFA 10 gives gamers the chance to put themselves in the game. They can upload a picture on the EA website then save it for download it in FIFA 10. This created Pro can be added him to any team. The players attribute can be upgraded with over 200 accomplishments by playing any of the offline modes through four Be a Pro seasons. This improved player can compete in the Pro Club Championship. The Virtual pro feature does not replace the Be a Pro mode. Virtual Pro just allows you to create one Pro and use him in every game mode.
This mode is an improvement from earlier parts of the series. In the past you could create a player for use in Be a Pro or online club games, but could not use him in other modes. The Pro you create can improve stats in any of the modes you desire and can carry them over to another mode. Be aware that the character attributes scale to the physical attributes of the player. A shorter player will not be as physically challenging as a taller one, who will in turn lose speed with more inches. Faces of the creation can be changed any time. Players can also add attributes and make the player more realistic and unique. Generally in this version the improvements do not tinker with the basic FIFA template. But, authenticity has been realized more in this version. It builds on the EA tradition of improving on earlier renditions. Its enhancements deliver greater realism and sets the standard for simulation of the real game.
